May 9: Afghan Immigrant Speaker

Based on results of the 2022 congregation survey, a top priority is the need to engage with other Faiths and learn more about their cultures. In lieu of our normal Brown Bag Lunch, on Tuesday, May 9 from noon to 1:30 pm, we will host an Afghan immigrant speaker who will share principles of Islam. The speaker will also offer reflections on their experience, the warm reception they received from Nationalities Service Center from other caring Americans, and the challenges experienced due to religious and cultural differences. A light lunch will be served along with beverages.
