Welcome to St. Francis-in-the-Fields!
Our church services are inviting and engaging. Our clergy seek to inspire, not indoctrinate; to instill love and compassion, not judgment or division.
During communion, we gather before a table with bread and wine to experience God's loving presence among us. All are welcome to participate in communion or ask for a blessing, regardless of one’s beliefs. Our focus is on nourishing the human heart and soul with the Eucharistic bread, which embodies the life, spirit and teaching of Jesus.
We hope all visitors experience genuine spiritual fulfillment in our welcoming community.
Worship: There is one Sunday service year-round, Holy Eucharist Rite II at 10 am. During the warmer months, Holy Eucharist is held outdoors on the first Sunday of the month.
Our liturgy follows the Book of Common Prayer (BCP) with some material from Enriching our Worship (EOW). Our hymns come from the blue and green hymnals in the pews, along with other resources. You are invited to prepare your soul for worship by kneeling silently in your pew before the service begins.
Accessibility: At different times during worship, the congregation may stand or kneel according to custom. Those who suffer physical discomfort are invited remain seated, or stand or kneel as they are able. During Communion, please notify an Usher if you are unable to come forward and we will bring Communion to you. Gluten-free communion wafers are available.
