April 26: Funeral for Dick Partridge

The funeral for Dick Partridge, one of the founding members of St. Francis, will be held on Saturday, April 26, at 11 am. All members and friends of St. Francis are welcome to attend.

April 26: Everett Beauregard Foundation Community Quest

A family-friendly scavenger hunt through Malvern Borough will take place on April 26 from 2 - 4 pm in Burke Park in Malvern. Tickets are $25 and teams of 3-4 people are recommended. This is the Foundation's largest fundraiser of the year. The funds they raise go to helping kids in underserved communities choose a different path. April 30: Easter Season Fellowship

We will be celebrating the Easter season with a luncheon on Wednesday April 30, from 12-1:30 pm. There will be food, Easter Bingo and door prizes. Everyone is welcome! If you can help bring someone to the event who doesn’t drive, please see Father Kevin.

May 11 and May 18: Adult Formation: The Nicene Creed

Join St. Francis Vestry Member John Groch for two Sunday sessions on the history of the Nicene Creed.  The sessions will be held at 8:45 am in the Library.

May 18: Sustainable Activism

On Sunday, May 18 after the 10 am service, Fr. Kevin will lead a presentation and discussion of the book Micro Activism by Omkari Williams. Williams offers a simple set of guidelines for people who want to be civically engaged without feeling overwhelmed or suffering burnout. The presentation will take place in the Parish Hall as part of the work of the Justice & Action Committee of St. Francis.

Play Ball! Join us for the Reading Phils on July 20th!

This summer, St. Francis will once again “take the field” in Reading to sing the National Anthem! Join us on July 20 (game time 5:15pm) for a night of great minor league baseball as the Fightin’ Phils host the Portland Sea Dogs. Those who want to sing will gather to practice prior to the game. Tickets are $15.00/each. To order yours, contact the parish office, Fr. Kevin or Diane. Payments can be made by check, cash, or electronically.

Book Group

The next Book Group meeting is on April 11 at 7:30 pm in the library. The book for March is Of Mice and Men by John Steinbeck.

Dates for Book Group for spring 2025 are: March 21, April 18, and May 16. For any questions about Book Group, please contact Elizabeth Pitt.

Brown Bag Lunch

Please join us for the Brown Bag Lunch on Tuesday, April 22 at 12 noon. A representative of the Church Farm School is presenting a history of Church Farm School.  Bring your lunch and beverage and plan to arrive at 11:45 am to allow time for mingling.

Circle of Friends

The Circle of Friends will meet in the church library on Wednesday, April 23 at 5:30 pm. If you are unable to join us in person but would still like to participate, packets can be prepared for pickup or delivery as needed. Please contact Shelley Steel with any questions.

Enneagram Growth Group

For those interested in going deeper in their Enneagram work, a monthly Enneagram Growth Group is held on at the home of Fr. Kevin and Donna Dellaria on the first Tuesday of the month. The next meeing is on Tuesday, May 6 from 6 - 8 pm.  Anyone familiar with the Enneagram is invited to attend. 

Men's Fellowship Breakfast

The Men's Fellowship Breakfast is held monthly on the first Saturday of the month at 9 am at the West Chester Diner, 1147 West Chester Pike, West Chester. This is a BYOB ("Bring Your Own Bucks") event. The next breakfast is on May 3. All men of St. Francis are welcome to attend.

Outdoor Service Series

Our series of 10 am outdoor worship services will begin this year on June 1 and end with the Feast of St. Francis and Blessing of the Animals on October 5. These services are subject to weather conditions. Our animal friends are always invited to worship with us on these
special Sundays.

Weekly Events

Lenten Bible Study

There will be no Lectionary Bible Study on Wednesday, April 23 or Wednesday, April 30.  Bible Study will resume on May 7.

Pickleball

Pickleball will resume in the spring.  Watch this space!

Walking with St. Francis & Friends

Walking with St. Francis & Friends is on hiatus for the winter. But keep walking on your own! We will resume when the weather is more walking-friendly in the spring.
